Short men are likely to live longer because they carry the 'longevity gene', scientists reveal

Tutkijat ovat löytäneet ihmisistä 'pitkäikäisyysgeenin', ja sitä havaitaan enemmän lyhyissä henkilöissä. Tästä päätellään että lyhyemmät elävät mahdollisesti pidempään kuin pitkät ihmiset. Tutkimuksesta käy ensimmäistä kertaa ilmi se, että ruumiin koko linkittyy kyseiseen geeniin.

I wonder if this gene works for women too. Since I'm not that tall myself, I find this piece of news very intriguing, because.. well, I guess we all want to live a long, happy life, am I right? Although the text spoke only of men. I hope it's not some kind of gender-related thing. It would be unfair if only males would be given this kind of privilege, even if it would be just a tiny thing like a 'longevity gene'.
